Search Committee Formed To Pick New Five College Executive Director
A search committee and executive
recruitment firm have been enlisted to
recommend a replacement for Lorna
Peterson, retiring leader of Five
Colleges, Inc. The committee is made up
of Amherst President Tony Marx; chair
Christoph Cox, associate professor of
philosophy at Hampshire College; Mary
Jo Maydew, vice president for finance
and administration at Mount Holyoke
College; Christopher Loring, director
of libraries at Smith College, and
Charlena Seymour, senior vice chair for
academic affairs and provost at
University of Massachusetts Amherst.
The search firm, Storbeck/Pimentel and
Associates, specializes in higher ed
and nonprofit recruitment and has
worked with Five Colleges previously.
The search is slated to conclude next
spring.
