Submit a TEDx Speaker Nomination by June 1
Do you know someone who has brought innovation to their field? Is there someone whom you've always wanted to hear speak at Amherst and whom you think has some great ideas worth sharing? If so, now's your chance to make that
happen! Amherst College is hosting its own TEDx conference next semester, with the theme "Disruptive Innovation." We are now looking for nominations for speakers from all Amherst community members. If you have someone in mind, follow the link to complete the nomination form. An advisory board will meet to discuss the nominations and choose our final speaker list.

Campus Challenge Fill-a-Truck Food & Educational Supplies Drive: April 1 to June 6
Form friendly competition among teams, join a "tabling" group or donate individually. We will be happy to accept
nonperishable food items and school supplies. Drop-off sites include: Barrett Hall, the Cadigan Center, Chapin Hall, College Hall, Converse, Fayerweather, Frost Library, Merrill Science, Pontypool, Pratt, Seelye Mudd and Smith House. Be counted! Register your donation to Campus Challenge-sponsored drives or to ANY organization addressing poverty and/or educational opportunity. Complete a participation form online at the link below. The form may be submitted anonymously. Bonus: every participation form is
entered into a drawing for $200 to be made at the end of April.

Commencement Information for Faculty and Administration
Commencement Weekend is this weekend, May 25-26. The Commencement program is online at the link below. You are cordially invited and encouraged to join seniors and their
families at weekend events. The conversations with honored guests begin at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday, with additional talks at 2 and 3:15 p.m. at various locations across campus. The President's Reception, in the garden of the President's House, will take place from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on Saturday. Professor Wako Tawa, faculty marshal, reminds you that the academic procession for Commencement will form in the O'Connor Commons at 9:45 a.m. on Sunday.
