Faultlines: Mapping Jazz in the 21st Century is a yearlong festival encompassing a variety of concerts, workshops, lectures, and panel discussions. The artists embody some of the most creative, exciting, and provocative directions in contemporary improvised music. The festival returns for its second year during the 2009-2010 academic year. Highlights of early events in the current season include workshops by influential reedists Evan Parker and Ned Rothenberg, a solo concert by virtuoso trumpeter Peter Evans, a concert by the Steve Lehman Trio, and much more. Events are still being added to the calendar--check back often! All festival events are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted.
